Shorter queues by day, secure branches by night.

Branches carry service targets and security duties. Camnitive measures queues, wait times, and occupancy. It watches ATM lobbies, vault zones, and closed branches. Nobody is identified.

In banking

What goes wrong today.

  • Queues are felt, not measured

Wait times drive complaints and staffing, yet most branches have no number for them beyond a ticket machine.

  • ATMs and branches are exposed after hours

Loitering at ATM lobbies and movement in closed branches are spotted on recordings the next morning, if at all.

  • Secure-room rules rely on trust

The two-person rule for vaults and cash rooms is written down, but rarely checked between audits.

What the cameras watch for.

Footage stays in the branch; FloFusion is hosted by Camnitive or deployed privately in your own cloud or data centre.

Sealed evidence

Corvane Markets

Demo footage, annotated the way FloFrame does. Each card appears as its alert is raised.

    • Queues & wait times

Live queue length and wait per counter, so staffing follows demand.

    • Branch occupancy

Visitor counts and peak hours per branch, compared across the network.

    • ATM loitering

People lingering in ATM lobbies beyond a set time, double-checked before security is alerted.

    • After-hours intrusion

Movement inside a closed branch flagged with sealed clips.

    • Vault & cash-room zones

Every entry logged, and the two-person rule checked whenever the room is open.

    • Cash-in-transit bays

People and vehicles in the bay during transfers, with loitering nearby flagged.

    Rules

    Rules you would run.

Written in plain words, run on site, checked by a vision model before anyone is alerted.

    1. Queues

“Notify the branch manager when the counter wait passes 8 minutes”

Then: MANAGER NOTIFIED · COUNTER OPENED ✓

      Open in the Rule Playground
    2. ATM loitering

“Flag anyone in the ATM lobby for more than 4 minutes after 22:00”

Then: SECURITY ALERTED · CLIP SEALED ✓

      Open in the Rule Playground
    3. Two-person rule

“Alert when one person is alone in the vault for more than 10 seconds”

Then: SECURITY PAGED · EVIDENCE SEALED

      Open in the Rule Playground

    Measure · Step 2 of 4

Every alert becomes a number you manage.

What FloFusion measures for Banking, per zone, per site and over time.

    • Footfall

People in and out at each entrance and walkway, by hour.

    • Occupancy by zone

People in each aisle, balcony and escalator, against its limit.

    • Wait at service points

How long shoppers wait at tills and stands before someone helps.

Proof that holds up with auditors.

The rules that apply to Banking, scored continuously from camera evidence, with a signed record anyone can verify.

    • GDPR

Video of people is personal data: you need a lawful basis, data minimization, retention limits, and a DPIA for systematic monitoring of workspaces.

    • EDPB Video Devices Guidelines

CCTV must be purpose-limited, signposted, and stored no longer than necessary, with documented access controls.

    • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

Video of identifiable people is personal data: you need a lawful basis, transparency, data minimisation and retention limits, and a DPIA before systematic monitoring of staff.

    • ICO guidance on monitoring workers

Monitoring must be necessary, proportionate and open: tell workers what you monitor and why, consult them, choose the least intrusive means, and avoid covert monitoring.

    • OSH Act general duty clause

Employers must keep the workplace free of recognised hazards likely to cause death or serious harm, on top of OSHA standards such as those for powered industrial trucks.

    • CCPA, as amended by the CPRA

Businesses above the thresholds must give notice at collection, limit use to the stated purposes, disclose retention and honour access and deletion requests, for employees as well as customers.

    Improve · Step 4 of 4

    What to change next.

The process map shows where shoppers wait and where the floor runs over its limits.

    1. Open a till at the predicted peak

Staff the extra till ten minutes before the queue the map forecasts.

    2. Staff the promotion stand at midday

Cover the stand between 11:00 and 14:00, when waits there run longest.

    Getting started

A pilot on the cameras you own.

Prove queue, ATM, after-hours, and vault-zone rules across a handful of branches, without identifying anyone.

    Scope

    • Banking halls and counters (queue length, wait times, and occupancy)
    • ATM lobbies and external ATMs (loitering beyond a set time)
    • Vault, cash-room, and strong-room doors (entries and the two-person rule)
    • Cash-in-transit bays and branch perimeters (after-hours movement)

    We configure

    • Plain-English rules per branch area, with opening hours and silent hours
    • Vision-language double-check on loitering and intrusion alerts before security is paged
    • Routing to branch managers, security operations, and facilities, through Teams, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, or webhooks
    • Retention set to your policy, with bystanders blurred on shared evidence copies

    You walk away with

    • Peak and average wait per branch, against your service target
    • Loitering and after-hours alerts per site, and the share confirmed on review
    • Vault-zone exceptions (one person present when two are required)
    • Time from an after-hours event to security acknowledgement

    Questions

    Banking: common questions.

Do you use face recognition or identify customers?

No. Camnitive detects people anonymously; it does not recognise faces or identify anyone. Bystanders are blurred on evidence copies shared outside the security team.

    Link to this question

How does the two-person rule work in a vault or cash room?

A count rule watches the room while it is open. If one person is inside alone for more than a few seconds, it alerts with the clip and logs the event.

    Link to this question

    Does footage leave the branch?

No. FloFrame processes video at the branch or a regional hub, and footage stays there. Only alerts and short evidence clips go to FloFusion, hosted by Camnitive or deployed privately in your own cloud or data centre.

    Link to this question

How do you avoid false alarms at busy ATMs?

Loitering rules use a minimum dwell time and run only in the zones and hours you set. A vision-language model checks each alert before it reaches security.

    Link to this question

Does it help with CCTV retention and audit rules?

Yes. Camnitive applies your retention policy automatically, seals evidence on the device, and keeps signed, hash-chained score snapshots. Where card data is handled, sealed access records support PCI DSS physical-security reviews.

    Link to this question

    Can we compare branches?

Yes. Insights and Control Tower compare wait times, occupancy and alerts by branch, and Home shows the network at a glance.
