Haul trucks, loaders, and dozers have blind zones measured in vehicle lengths. Cameras on site already see into them.
The problem
Why it keeps happening.
Vehicle–person interactions are the dominant fatal-risk category on mine sites and heavy-industrial operations. Operator blind zones on haul-class equipment are enormous, and fatigue compounds the risk on long shifts.
Proximity technology mounted on vehicles helps but only covers equipped vehicles. Site cameras see the whole interaction zone, including contractors and visitors no tag system knows about.
