Energy & critical infrastructure · Mining
Haul roads, blast zones, and PPE, watched as written.
Bring governed visual intelligence to pits, plants, and processing: heavy-vehicle proximity, exclusion zones, PPE, and conveyor monitoring on the cameras already watching your operation, with evidence that stands up to regulators.

In mining
What goes wrong today.
Heavy vehicles and people share the same ground
Haul trucks, loaders, and dozers have lethal blind spots, and near-misses go unreported until one becomes a fatality inquiry.
Regulators want proof, not policies
Mining inspectors expect demonstrable enforcement of exclusion zones and PPE. Paper programmes no longer pass.
Remote sites, thin supervision
Pits and processing plants run around the clock in places supervisors rarely reach. What happens on night shift stays invisible.
Detect · Step 1 of 4
What the cameras watch for.
Built for remote pits: FloFrame runs fully offline at site and syncs events when connectivity returns.

Sealed evidence
Varenmoor Power & Utilities
Demo footage, annotated the way FloFrame does. Each card appears as its alert is raised.
Vehicle–person proximity
Alerts when workers come inside the danger envelope of haul trucks, loaders, and dozers.
Blast & exclusion zones
Deterministic enforcement of exclusion perimeters before and during blasting windows.
PPE & fatigue indicators
Helmet, vest, and eyewear verification at access points and active faces.
Conveyor & crusher monitoring
Detect blockages, spillage, and unauthorized access along conveyors and crushers.
Environmental & tailings watch
Visual monitoring of tailings, discharge points, and dust events with sealed evidence.
Equipment state & idle time
Track equipment utilization and abnormal states across the site.
Rules
Rules you would run.
Written in plain words, run on site, checked by a vision model before anyone is alerted.
Vehicle–person proximity
“No person within 10 m of a moving haul truck”
Then: DISPATCH ALERTED · CLIP SEALED ✓
Open in the Rule PlaygroundBlast exclusion zones
“Nobody inside the blast exclusion zone from 30 minutes before firing”
Then: BLAST HOLD SIGNALED · SITE PAGED

“Alert on any person on the conveyor gantry while belts are running”
Then: CONTROL ROOM ALERT · CLIP SEALED ✓

Measure · Step 2 of 4
Every alert becomes a number you manage.
What FloFusion measures for Mining, per zone, per site and over time.
PPE compliance by zone
Hard hats and hi-vis inside each hazardous zone, per shift.
Lift-zone entries
People inside a rigged lift zone, and for how long.
Lone-worker time
Time people spend alone in remote or restricted areas.

What a pilot sets out to move
- more near-misses surfaced
- 5–10×
- events no one previously reported
- fewer exclusion-zone breaches
- 30–50%
- typical pilot target on covered zones
- to answer an inspector
- Hours
- sealed evidence, ready to export
Pilot targets agreed with you up front, not past results.

Comply · Step 3 of 4
Proof that holds up with auditors.
The rules that apply to Mining, scored continuously from camera evidence, with a signed record anyone can verify.
EU AI Act
AI used for workplace monitoring and safety is high-risk: you must run risk management, keep event logs, maintain technical documentation, and guarantee human oversight and accuracy monitoring.
CSRD
Large companies must report audited social and safety metrics, including workforce health and safety performance.
UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
Video of identifiable people is personal data: you need a lawful basis, transparency, data minimisation and retention limits, and a DPIA before systematic monitoring of staff.
ICO guidance on monitoring workers
Monitoring must be necessary, proportionate and open: tell workers what you monitor and why, consult them, choose the least intrusive means, and avoid covert monitoring.
Improve · Step 4 of 4
What to change next.
The process map shows when and where crews take the most risk.
Cordon hoist work into a window
Schedule lifts when the pump hall is clear, with a marked keep-out zone.
A PPE check at the yard gate
Catch missing hi-vis before crews reach the breaker bays.
Examples of what a pilot’s process map points to.

Getting started
A pilot on the cameras you own.
Prove heavy-vehicle proximity, exclusion-zone, and PPE detection at one pit or plant, on the ruggedized cameras you already run, offline-tolerant for remote sites, with evidence your regulator will accept.
Scope
- Haul roads and interaction zones (vehicle–person proximity)
- Blast perimeters and restricted areas (exclusion enforcement)
- Access points and active faces (PPE verification)
- Conveyors, crushers, and tailings points (blockage, spillage, intrusion)
We configure
- Plain-English exclusion and proximity rules per zone, tied to blast windows and shift schedules
- FloFrame on-site inference with offline buffering for limited-connectivity pits
- Severity tiers and escalation to control room, dispatch, and HSE
- FloFusion evidence packs aligned to mine-safety regulatory reporting
You walk away with
- Faster time-to-awareness for proximity and exclusion-zone breaches
- Detection continuity through connectivity outages
- Audit-ready evidence for every safety exception, by zone and shift
- Baseline of repeat hotspots to target in the full rollout
Questions
Mining: common questions.
Do our existing pit and plant cameras work, or do we need new hardware?
Your existing fixed cameras work, including those on haul roads, crushers and conveyors, as long as they stream RTSP or ONVIF. The only new hardware is a FloFrame box with an NVIDIA GPU in a site room.
Link to this questionOur sites have poor connectivity. Does detection stop when the link drops?
No. Detection, rules and on-site outputs keep running offline. Alerts and evidence wait on the device and go up to FloFusion when the link returns.
Link to this questionCan rules follow our blast schedules and shift patterns?
Yes. Every rule takes schedules and site calendars, so an exclusion zone can be enforced during blast windows and relaxed for planned maintenance.
Link to this questionHow does this work alongside our existing collision-avoidance systems?
It adds the fixed-camera view: walkways, conveyors and interaction zones that vehicle-mounted systems cannot see. It is an aid next to your certified systems, and every event becomes sealed, reviewable evidence.
Link to this questionWhat evidence do we get for regulators and incident investigations?
Each event has its clip, the rule that fired and its review, sealed on the device and verified on arrival. Pack scores are signed and hash-chained, so an investigator can check that nothing changed.
Link to this questionWhere does the video go? Our licenses require in-country data.
Nowhere. Video is processed on site and stays there; only alerts, chosen evidence and measurements leave. FloFusion is hosted by Camnitive, or deployed privately in your own cloud or data centre.
Link to this questionWhat if a box fails at a remote site?
Its configuration is kept as a sealed backup, so a replacement box enrols remotely and picks up the same cameras, zones and rules. Updates also install remotely, with rollback.
