Safer arrivals, calmer corridors, secure nights.

Schools and universities need safe arrivals, managed crowding, and secure buildings at night. Camnitive watches entrances, corridors, drop-off zones, and occupancy. It never identifies anyone.

In education

What goes wrong today.

  • Open sites, few staff on watch

Schools and campuses have many entrances and long fence lines, watched by a small team.

  • Changeover and drop-off are the risky minutes

Crowded corridors and busy drop-off lanes are where incidents happen, and where nobody has numbers.

  • Privacy has to come first

Any camera analytics in education must avoid identifying people and keep footage tightly controlled.

Detect · Step 1 of 4

What the cameras watch for.

Processing stays on site; no identification, logged access, and bystander blur on every shared copy.

Sealed evidence

Harlow Bridge Construction

Demo footage, annotated the way FloFrame does. Each card appears as its alert is raised.

    • Entrances & perimeter

Fence lines and gates watched during and after the school day.

    • Corridor & hall crowding

Density in corridors, stairwells, and halls at changeover and during events.

    • Drop-off & car-park safety

Vehicle speed and people on foot in drop-off lanes and car parks.

    • After-hours security

Movement in closed buildings flagged with sealed evidence.

    • Room & hall occupancy

Counts against capacity, live and trended across the term.

    • Incident evidence

Sealed clips, with bystanders blurred on copies, for reviews and duty-of-care questions.

    Rules

    Rules you would run.

Written in plain words, run on site, checked by a vision model before anyone is alerted.

    1. After hours

“Alert on anyone entering the grounds between 20:00 and 06:00”

Then: SITE TEAM ALERTED · CLIP SEALED ✓

      Open in the Rule Playground
    2. Drop-off safety

“Flag vehicles faster than 10 km/h in the drop-off lane”

Then: EVENT LOGGED · INSIGHTS UPDATED

      Open in the Rule Playground
    3. Corridor crowding

“Alert when the main stairwell holds more than 40 people for 2 minutes”

      Then: DUTY STAFF NOTIFIED ✓

      Open in the Rule Playground

    Measure · Step 2 of 4

Every alert becomes a number you manage.

What FloFusion measures for Education, per zone, per site and over time.

    • PPE compliance by zone

Hard hats and hi-vis in each work zone, by contractor and shift.

    • Keep-clear breaches

People inside the keep-clear distance of a suspended load.

    • Crew at height

People on decks and scaffolds, against each platform’s limit.

    Comply · Step 3 of 4

Proof that holds up with auditors.

The rules that apply to Education, scored continuously from camera evidence, with a signed record anyone can verify.

    • GDPR

Video of people is personal data: you need a lawful basis, data minimization, retention limits, and a DPIA for systematic monitoring of workspaces.

    • EDPB Video Devices Guidelines

CCTV must be purpose-limited, signposted, and stored no longer than necessary, with documented access controls.

    • UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018

Video of identifiable people is personal data: you need a lawful basis, transparency, data minimisation and retention limits, and a DPIA before systematic monitoring of staff.

    • ICO guidance on monitoring workers

Monitoring must be necessary, proportionate and open: tell workers what you monitor and why, consult them, choose the least intrusive means, and avoid covert monitoring.

    • OSH Act general duty clause

Employers must keep the workplace free of recognised hazards likely to cause death or serious harm, on top of OSHA standards such as those for powered industrial trucks.

    • CCPA, as amended by the CPRA

Businesses above the thresholds must give notice at collection, limit use to the stated purposes, disclose retention and honour access and deletion requests, for employees as well as customers.

    Improve · Step 4 of 4

    What to change next.

The process map shows where the site takes its biggest risks, and when.

    1. Exclusion during lifts at the landing

Clear the landing crew while loads pass, where breaches repeat.

    2. A PPE station at the laydown gate

Hand out hi-vis where most missing-vest alerts start.

Examples of what a pilot’s process map points to.

    Getting started

A pilot on the cameras you own.

Prove entrance, perimeter, crowding, and drop-off rules at one school or building. Privacy settings are agreed first.

    Scope

    • Gates, entrances, and fence lines (outside agreed hours)
    • Corridors, stairwells, and halls (crowding at changeover and events)
    • Drop-off lanes and car parks (vehicle speed and people on foot)
    • Closed buildings after hours (movement)

    We configure

    • Rules per area, with term dates, the school day, and silent hours
    • Privacy settings: retention, who can view evidence, and bystander blur on copies
    • Routing to site managers and security, through Teams or webhooks
    • Insights dashboards for occupancy and crowding by hour

    You walk away with

    • After-hours alerts per site, and the share confirmed on review
    • Peak corridor and hall density at changeover
    • Speeding events in drop-off lanes per week
    • Room and hall occupancy against capacity

    Questions

    Education: common questions.

Do you identify students or staff?

No. Camnitive detects people anonymously; it does not use face recognition or biometrics. Bystanders are blurred on evidence copies shared outside the security team.

    Link to this question

    Who can see the footage?

Footage stays on site. Access to alerts and evidence is role-based, every view is logged, and retention follows your policy.

    Link to this question

Does it detect weapons or fights?

No. Camnitive does not offer weapons or violence detection. It covers entrances, perimeters, crowding, drop-off traffic and after-hours movement.

    Link to this question

Can it help with drop-off and car-park safety?

Yes. Speed and zone rules flag vehicles moving too fast in drop-off lanes and car parks, and Insights shows when and where.

    Link to this question

Does it meet data-protection requirements for schools?

It is built to support them: processing on site, no identification, purpose-limited rules, automatic retention and logged access. Your data-protection officer decides how each law applies.
